This design project redefines the use and function of a national park visitor centre in an innovative and contemporary way. The interiors combine colour, texture and materials to create beautifully crafted, fresh and welcoming spaces that forge a strong connection with the building’s heritage and its natural landscape setting.
Cristine Vega Gimenez as the winner of the Sirimiri Award for Conscious Design. She is a merited recipient for her meticulous and incredibly in-depth body of research into her subject and the beneficiary community. I commend her for the visually engaging representation of her design and interior scheme.
An incredibly thorough, sophisticated interior, which could only be created with such thoughtful, indepth research and analysis. This graduate created some beautiful, dynamic rooms and solutions.
A beautifully conceived scheme with clever use of materials to enhance the lit effect. Combining traditional lighting techniques with pops of modern accents and a thorough Lighting Specification Kate deserves to win. Enormous amounts of research ensured that the project translated brilliantly from concept through to final drawings and visuals, it was a pleasure to read.
I want to congratulate everyone for their very serious work and achievement with this life milestone.

Once again the standard was outstanding and any of the shortlist was well worthy of winning but for me Daniel McConville's work was extremely well worked through and eminently deliverable. His attention to detail is exceptional and his practical awareness of what is to be delivered shines through.
This neuro-inclusive space for co-working showed real understanding of the importance of our environment. Creative, holistic design solutions were based on incredibly detailed research while the strong concept, thorough design development and detailed planning resulted in an extensive body of beautifully presented work.
Diploma Applied Interior Design 2023
When you combine highly motivated students, inspiring external guest lecturers and a passionate and knowledgeable tutor team, the result is an environment where design that matters can be cultivated, talent can flourish, and the foundation laid for an exciting career in industry. Full-time and part-time graduates have, during their time on the Diploma, engaged with design projects spanning multiple sectors, including residential, commercial, and hospitality.
Collaboration is a key feature of the design industry. Through our group project students have engaged in a community focused project; helping others to realise a future that is more local, more mutual, more equitable and more sustainable.
Our students also explored research projects covering textiles and their application in interiors and the evolution of style. With alumni who have established themselves in industry ‘coming home’ to the Diploma course and lecturing to and leading our students in design projects, we’ve had an incredibly challenging but rewarding and productive year and our students now stand as nascent junior designers, ready to enter industry.

Foundation Degree Interior Design 2023
This year’s Online Foundation Degree graduates have demonstrated a breadth of skills through a variety of projects spanning across the residential and commercial sectors. Throughout Level 4 and 5 projects ranged from a multi-use space for a print making company, a pop-up shop for an upcoming brand, the ground floor of a shared flat, as well as some more specialist projects, such as the design and detailing of a bespoke piece of furniture and a live group project for a wildlife charity.
With each project students sought to expand their creativity and develop their technical skills, while honing their design interests, in preparation for the final project that offered students a choice across residential, retail and hospitality interiors. That project saw students respond to the brief with a creative and highly professional attitude, challenging their design ability and excelling in key topics such as sustainability, lighting design, materiality and accessibility.
It has been extremely rewarding to see the students adapt and grow with every challenge, and we are confident that they are now ready to embark on their industry journey. We look forward seeing how they start to build and develop their careers in the design world and wish them the very best.

BA (Hons) Interior Design 2023
This year's graduates of BA (Honours) in Interior Design demonstrate a great capacity to work across different commercial sectors. Each of the projects undertaken in Level 6 has aimed to develop students design abilities and technical skills while also preparing them for the rigours of professional life.
In designing their final major projects students have considered the impact of design on improving social and cultural challenges faced in today’s world. Projects have varied from the challenges of mental health and visual impairment, to tackling food waste and homelessness. This has resulted in the design of restaurants, music venues, educational centres, co-working facilities and art therapy centres to name but a few.
While the future can often be uncertain, this year's graduates have shown an ability to adapt and respond to academic and technical challenges. We are proud of the commitment they have shown to their design studies and look forward to watching their professional journeys progress.
