Daniel McConville
Hello, my name is Daniel, and I am a London-based graduate of the Foundation Degree in Interior Design.
During my studies, I worked as cabin crew, which provided me with the opportunity to travel globally and has exposed me to various architectural styles and unique interiors. Witnessing the profound impact of design choices on emotions, well-being and comfort ignited my passion for interior design and is the reason I decided to pursue a career in Interior Design.
My extensive travel background brings a fresh perspective to each project, infusing it with elements that reflect the richness and diversity of global design. These travel experiences have shaped my design aesthetic, providing me with a deep well of inspiration that informs my work. Some of my influences come from destinations such as Tokyo, New York, Scandinavia, and Rio de Janeiro.
With ten years of experience in the hospitality industry, I place the customer at the forefront of my commercial design approach. I aim to create experiential spaces that leave a lasting impression, considering factors such as social media presence and how to stand out from local competition. I enjoy designing spaces that establish a recognisable interior image for brands. My design philosophy revolves around emotionally connecting with users and enhancing their overall experience.
I have enjoyed working on a diverse range of projects including retail, bars, residential and offices. I am particularly drawn to designs that skillfully combine commercial and residential elements, considering aspects such as functionality, comfort and ambience. It is my aspiration to work for a design studio that shares this passion.
