Richa Bhatnagar

Looking back at the first day of the Diploma program and comparing it to today, I am immensely proud of the skills and perspective that I have gained through this program. I discovered that I am drawn to concept-driven design and strive to create and control the user’s experience of a space through bold and unusual solutions. As someone with a rich cultural background, having lived in several countries, I truly care about how we weave place, culture and personal histories into spaces.

My strength is shaping spaces in a technically-led manner. My work this year has spanned residential and commercial design, exhibition design, furniture detailing, urban regeneration, as well as history, sustainability and textile specification. Implementing some of my learnings from the Diploma course, in my work experience I had the opportunity to assist a design studio on some landmark hospitality projects. 

My prior professional experience is primarily in project management, managing global software implementations and operational programs, including at one of the top global technology companies.
