Embarking on the Interior Design Diploma at KLC has been an immensely transformative journey. After dedicating four years to project management within a building compliance consultancy, I found myself yearning for a creative outlet that would harness and nurture my passion for design. The decision to dedicate the last nine months to the diploma has been the best one of my career, with my project management skills and knowledge of building regulations proving extremely transferrable.
Through hands-on projects, I have acquired a comprehensive skillset with proficiency in software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign enabling me to translate my imaginative concepts into tangible designs. As well as technical capabilities, KLC has provided a wealth of industry knowledge especially for suppliers, finding ourselves lucky enough to regularly explore the wonders of the design centre. Photoshop renderring, sample boards and Sketch Up modelling have been areas that I have thrived in and thoroughly enjoyed.
Reaching the end of the diploma has been incredibly rewarding and I look forward to entering the industry and contributing my creative flair to an eclectic, innovative design studio with a vibrant company culture.
