I’ve always loved design, and being within nature. Growing up in rural Norfolk formed my sense of space, line, and light. Before becoming a garden designer, my professional career was spent working in the not-for-profit sector, on climate change, humanitarian relief, and forest restoration. I’ve worked in research, project management, fundraising, and professional communications roles. I love the design process:• developing a relationship with a client to discover the brief is fascinating, fun, and challenging;• it’s exciting to find where ideas can be pushed in unexpected ways; and• I find creative collaboration with a team containing diverse experience and skills hugely rewarding.While my approach to design is client led, I love clear, bold design, that celebrates nature and our place in it.
