BA (Hons) Interior Design

Hello! My name is Millie, and I have recently completed my BA (Hons) degree in Interior Design through KLC School of Design & West Dean College. I am originally from Cornwall and was raised visiting building sites and interiors due to family working in project management. Being surrounded by a diverse range of styles encouraged me to explore this passion further and move to London, deeply intrigued by the culture and deep history of design!

I am especially interested in the use of natural materials and the effect our environment can have on our health and wellbeing. The relationship between people and the built environment pushes my creative thinking process, and I enjoy exploring this through sketching, utilising different software’s and creating potential schemes.

After gaining valuable work experience with a kitchen designer, an interior designer, and a quantity surveyor’s office, I made the decision to apply to KLC to pursue my dreams further. My time at KLC has developed my creative and technical skills and developed my understanding of the industry. My time working on a range of briefs and projects has also reinforced my commitment to thoughtful design choices that consider the user experience throughout the whole of their journey. I deeply enjoy the structure of a project and enjoy working collaboratively to develop unique ideas. My strengths lie in spatial planning and materiality choices, balancing the creative process with practical limitations such as site restrictions.

I look forward to applying myself to future projects and beginning my career. If you are interested in seeing more of my portfolio, please contact my email and I will get back to you!
