My design journey which started from my own house followed by a year of freelancing helped in working on-site and coordinate with various teams. However, I was lacking a stronger foundation which was why I enrolled in the BA(Hons) Interior Design Course at  KLC School of Design. This has been a life-altering experience where I learnt not only the technical skills required but also the importance of research, concept and design development.

I am passionate about natural materials and sustainability where spaces promote well-being and are calm and honest.  This is evident when I designed a material library and a zero-waste restaurant. Both focused on sustainable materials from the new and innovative to the ones from our past. My attention to detail is visible from the bespoke joinery created for the spaces inspired by concept, site and client. I love to design spaces by imagining the journey, line of sight and negative space. I believe spaces should feel as if they just belong and are livable, timeless and layered.

I have always been drawn to the works of Axel Vervoordt, and beginning of my journey I had come across the concept of ‘Ma’, in his book Wabi Inspiration, which is space surrounding an object. It holds as much importance as the object itself. The existence of Ma, is described as ‘The silence between notes which makes the music.’ It's in this silence that one can find the calmness that a space needs and should create.
