From a young age, I always knew that design was something I would love to do and I would forever be rearranging my bedroom and keeping cuttings from magazine articles that featured beautiful or interesting homes.  Personal circumstances however dictated that I was unable to pursue this as a career immediately after leaving school and I then spent the following 18 years working in different areas of the legal sector.

After spending such a long period working in largely unfulfilling roles in an industry I did not have a passion for, I set my sights on obtaining a diploma in interior design on a part-time basis, working my studies around a full-time job. I then went on to complete my degree with KLC on the same part-time, online basis and was extremely proud to do so.

My degree has helped hone my keen understanding of design history, with an appreciation for both traditional styles and modern architecture.  This combination results in a passion for creating spaces that embrace a harmonious balance of the old and the new. My ethos is that getting to know clients and understanding their personalities/lifestyles helps me to create spaces that have a positive impact on the way they can make you feel.

I strive to create functional and inspiring spaces that reflect the unique personalities of the client. My studies at KLC have helped build on my skills in research, space planning, furniture & fittings selection, technical skills, and materiality while fostering a deep understanding of sustainable design practices.

This exhibition showcases a snapshot of the projects undertaken during my final year at KLC. Please see below my Portfolio for a wider view of other projects undertaken during my studies.
