During my previous career as a therapeutic radiographer, I found myself craving to explore my creative side. I’ve always had a love and passion for interior design, so there was no doubt that this was going to be my new career path.
Working in radiotherapy has given me a strong work ethic and the ability to perform under pressure. Leading teams and informing patients about complex treatments has refined my communication skills, making me adept at conveying intricate design concepts clearly and effectively.
The opportunity for work placement was an extremely valuable experience for me. During that time, I honed my skills in sourcing, quotation acquisition, liaising with suppliers, and creating detailed drawings and renders using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
I have acquired many valuable skills at KLC. This includes technical skills like AutoCAD, SketchUp (including Enscape and VRay), Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as interpersonal skills such as working collaboratively and delivering presentations. Each brief was unique and presented its own challenges, making my learning experience more exciting. I enjoyed watching my skills grow as each project was completed and I look forward to learning even more in the working world of interior design.
Thank you for viewing my exhibition page and I hope I have clearly showcased my skills and abilities. I look forward to any work opportunities and would be happy to share my portfolio via email.
