Anna Smith
I am a recent graduate from KLC School of Design with a BA (Hons) in Interior Design. As a creative and logical person, I enjoy being part of a team and working together to find effective solutions. I am particularly passionate about creating interiors that feel comfortable and inspiring, and that are centered around the client’s needs and desires.
My experiences in both work and education have provided me with invaluable skills that I am excited to take with me into the industry, including working closely with a passionate team, building rapport with clients, managing my time in a highly organised fashion and finding creative solutions to a specific design brief. Although much of my portfolio showcases commercial projects completed throughout my degree, I am particularly interested in residential interiors; my experience managing a furniture showroom reinforced this passion, as I found great job satisfaction in advising clients on choices for their home based on their lifestyle and current décor.
Being involved in all aspects (such as sourcing FF&E, specifying finishes and lighting, creating technical drawings and 3D renders and developing digital/physical presentation materials) of these schemes and helping clients to create their dream space is something I am eager to throw myself into. These aspects are ones I have enjoyed developing over the course of my degree, alongside collaborating with my peers as well as working independently from home.
I am eager to put these skills into practice within a studio environment and to learn new skills, both creative and technical, in order to become an integral part of a team working towards the same goal. Self-motivation, organisation and drive to use my own initiative are what has made me successful in both work and education, and I am excited to discover what opportunities lie ahead.
